đź‘‹ Hi! I'm a UX designer, front-end developer, and visual thinker from Edmonton in Canada.
Here are some projects that I'm proud of:
I helped a government ministry design a web application
My skills used
- Contextual interviews
- Journey mapping
- Prototyping
- Stakeholder facilitation
The opportunity
- The client was designing a new web application for a critical workflow
- The user base had a wide variety of working environments throughout the province
My process
- I ran contextual interviews
- Talked to users in their work environment
- Observed how they worked and the tools they used
- Captured both spoken and unspoken frustrations
- I helped create a journey map of the entire workflow
- Created a journey map covering the main ministry workflow
- Shared the map with stakeholders to create alignment
- I built and tested a prototype
- I built an HTML prototype using a static site generator
- I used the same CSS library that the development team was using
- I helped test the prototype in person
My Impact
- The journey map helped stakeholders all visually see their workflow for the first time
- The prototype became a crucial artifact for the development team
Ask me about these other case studies…
- I helped a tech startup pivot on a feature by running a scrappy “mechanical Turk” data import experiment.
