Employee Tasks:

****Employee will receive an email from TriNet with log on information to perform the following task:

  1. I-9 Action: Employees need to complete section 1 of the I-9.
  2. Direct Deposit Action:  If no action is taken 4 days prior to first payroll the employees will receive a live check for the first payroll and until Direct Deposit information is entered into TriNet. ( Employee > Money > Pay Options > Add Account ) Note payroll is processed at least 3 business days prior to pay date.
  3. Tax Withholding: If no action is taken by 4 days prior to first payroll, the employees will receive the default of Single with 0 Allowances. ( Employee > Money > Taxes > Edit > Continue to Forms )
  4. Benefits Enrollment: Eligible Employees will have 30 days from their benefits effective date of 1/1/23 to elect new benefits coverage under TriNet. Benefits coverage and rates are retroactive to the benefits effective date. Electing benefits earlier in the enrollment window will help prevent employees from having deductions for more than one pay period taken from a single paycheck. Employees have the ability to connect with our Health Advocates team for assistance in choosing benefits, but are not able to advise which plan to choose. I’ve attached a flyer you can provide to your employees.

We have a lot of fur babies in the extended HigherMe family and even a dedicated #dogs channel in Slack to share stories and photos!

During benefits enrollment, you’ll have the opportunity to enroll in the voluntary benefit plans administered by Aflac, Chubb, Farmers GroupSelectSM , IdentityForce and MetLife. Voluntary benefit plans can help you manage the different parts of your life and may help offset the rising costs of healthcare. With the exception of personal excess liability insurance, you pay the full cost of these plans through convenient payroll deductions. Payments for Chubb personal excess liability insurance and IdentityForce theft protection plans must be made to the carriers directly.

You can also visit Voluntary Benefits Central on TriNet (login.TriNet.com) located under Benefits > Voluntary Benefits Central.
