This Privacy Policy applies to the Ben app (the “Application”) provided by Yun Zeng (the “Service Provider”) as a freemium service. The Service is intended for use “AS IS.”

1) Information We Collect and How We Use It

When you use Ben, we may process the following categories of information:

A. Usage & Device Information

• IP address, device model, OS version, app version, language, time zone.
• App interactions (e.g., screens viewed, time spent, diagnostics).

Purpose: operate, secure, and improve the app; debug issues.

Legal basis (EU/UK): Legitimate interests; consent where required.

B. Content You Add in Ben (Journals, Photos, Videos)

• Journal entries, media, and settings you choose to store.
• By default, Ben saves your content on-device.

Where stored: on-device and your iCloud (private scope). We cannot access your private iCloud data.

C. Health & Fitness (Optional)

• If enabled, Ben may read workout routes and metadata from Apple Health (HealthKit).

Purpose: render routes/wallpapers in your journals.

Where stored: on-device and/or your iCloud.

Note: We do not use Health data for advertising or analytics.
