The game starts with Chronos escaping Tartarus thanks to Styx, a titanide that stayes in the Underworld even after gaining Zeus’ favour. Styx, who represents the river from the Underworld and controls the darkness, would help her brothers get back their power and the status that was forgotten through time. Chronos want to go back in time to prevent Zeus from defeating him. But for that he needs to gather an enourmous amount of power, since Tartarus drained his powers. This time he doesn’t want to leave any loose ends, so he needs to take out the only being able to defeat him: Halia. That’s why he gives her false memories with the aid of his sister Mnemosyne, in which Halia kills her parents and her whole village, setting it on fire. That’s why she was thrown into a dungeon.

The village is on fire and you can see Halia dropping a flaming torch. She sees her dead parents and goes through the village looking for survivors. Most of them are burning corpses and the few survivors blame her. The guards finally arrive and capture her. The player has the option to try to save a kid stuck in some debris. But a building falls on the kid, killing him.

Halia spends some time in the dungeons, constantly gazing at her necklace because she feels it's important, though she doesn't know why. One day, while looking at it, she has a brief flashback of an armor. A guard tries to take advantage of her, and in response, she strangles him with the ropes. The other guards notice and, after chaining her up, they take her before Cronos, who wants to test if she's becoming aware of who she really is. He tortures her to see how much she knows. It's at this moment that Halia starts to resent Cronos and realizes that her misfortune is because of him. She seeks revenge.

Zeus controls one of the guards present during Halia's torture, and through his eyes, he witnesses their encounter and the great interest Cronos shows in her. He suspects that she must have some kind of enmity with Cronos. For this reason, he decides to help her escape from the dungeon and together, they plan to destroy it.

In the dungeons, Halia meets the armorer, who teaches her what she needs to escape the place and survive. The armorer has been in the dungeons for so long that he managed to craft a small knife from worthless pieces of metal, which he kept hidden in his clothes. He gives the knife to Halia, explaining that he no longer needs to escape since he has no one waiting for him. Thanks to his gesture, she manages to break free. Halia fights against the guards and escapes, but at the exit, she's cornered by more guards. Suddenly, Zeus appears, disguised as Cronos, and kills all the guards, taking them by surprise. Once he's done, he returns to his true form and introduces himself to Halia. Halia is hesitant to trust him, but upon realizing they share a common goal—to destroy Cronos—she reluctantly accepts his help, on the condition that he frees the armorer.

Zeus leads her to an inn and gives her money to buy clothes and some weapons while he goes to rescue the armorer. Halia must gather information about Zeus by asking around and meets a historian. The historian reveals the relationship between Cronos and Zeus, as well as the battle that sent the titan to Tartarus. Curious to know more, Halia asks, but the historian insists on a trade—he wants to know if the legends about Artemis having a titan are true. Few people know the truth about the power of the titans, and he wants to find out, but being a man, he cannot approach Artemis directly.
