What is a cyberdeck?

A cyberdeck is a customized computer built primarily using circuit boards like the different models from the brand, Raspberry Pi. These Cyberdecks are commonly categorized under DIY Electronics. The pros you can expect from cyberdecks are, they provide a more enhanced privacy compared to mainstream systems and can offer strong security when properly configured. The purpose of the cyberdeck depends on the builder - it can be tailored for specific tasks or to simply gain hands-on experience. When it comes to experience, creativity plays a big role, allowing you to express individual creativity through style, making the process more memorable and unique.

Required Materials:

• Raspberry Pi 4B
• Battery (preferably Pi Sugar S Plus)
• Micro SD card
• HDMI screen
• SD card reader

Optional:

• Keyboard
• Wooden box case (Michaels)
• Electrical tape
• Double sided velcro tape

Hardware Assembly:

Step 1: Align the Pi sugar with the 4B (the Pi sugar should be vertically facing the direction away from the usb and ethernet ports) see image 1 for reference

Step 2: Using a screwdriver, tighten the screws onto the Pi 4B

Step 3: Slide the SD card into the SD card slot. See image 2 for reference

Step 4: Connect one end of the cable (micro hdmi) to the 4B and the other end (mini hdmi) to the screen
