Design first. Solder after.


Before you solder any of the components it’s better practice to design your interface. Even if this is the first time you’re making a synthesizer, try to come up with a clear challenge. Keep it simple, and constrained - this will help you focus and learn more efficiently.

In the page Designing your instrument you’ll find different techniques for getting started with the design phase.

Note that you don't have to solder the potentiometers and jacks in order for them to work.

When your microcontroller is soldered and working, try to connect a potentiometer and a jack to run one of the example Daisyduino codes oscillator for example.
