Beethoven is a phoenix. Throughout his musical career and his endeavors in musical creativity, we see him fall down and come to the brink of creative desperation. And then reinvent himself as a completely new creative force, the likes of which had never been seen. And that happens again and again throughout his musical career. How stoked was he each time he was reborn?! Each time he is on the brink of being a washed up, forgotten composer he destroys the contemporary musical world by producing something that is ahead of its time.

His late Sonatas and late string Quartets were unintelligible when they were released but become an integral part of the classical music repertoire to this day. Famously the ninth Symphony was one of the most inspirational and incredible feats of music ever invented. It was released after Beethoven was thought to be in obscurity.  He was deaf. He was almost forgotten. He was thought of as a footnote when he released the ninth symphony.

The music speaks for itself.  A choral Symphony.  Nothing like it had ever been done before and it holds up to this day. That's one of the great pieces of classical music.

He is a Phoenix, dead and reborn, dead and reborn dead and reborn.
