Overview

Working alongside Ruheni Alex, we are creating an inventory/order management system for baraka flowers.

What does how system work (client brief)

Physical flowers stock count is updated into system - by the stock clerk

Stock can either be graded or ungraded

Stocks length in cm 90, 80, 70, 60, 50, 40, 35

For the ungraded stock, there is quantity rejected depending on variety. Sellable is therefore less than stock count

Sales executive receives a client’s order. Client states variety and length. Sometimes clients provide flexibility to supply another variety of the same colour if the variety needed is not adequate.

Sales executive checks and allocates stocks and seeks approval after which the client is informed quantity that will be supplied

Before supply client or sales executive may revise the confirmed quantities

Sales Exec prints packing to pack-house team

Packhouse team confirm to sales exec the actual packed stock

Client to be informed if there is a shot

Actual Packing list printed and to be linked or exported to an external system
