Banking App
The Banking App allows you to securely manage your character's finances, transfer funds to others, and move money between your bank accounts and your character's on-hand currency.
Important: The functionality of this app is entirely dependent on your Game Master's setup. If you see a message asking for GM setup, or if no banks or currency types appear, please contact your GM.
- Accessing the App: Tap the Banking icon (typically a bank building 🏦) on the Home Screen.
- Main Screen (Account List):
- Upon opening, you will see a list of all bank accounts you own. If you have no accounts, you will be taken directly to the "Open Account" screen.
- Each item displays the bank's logo and name, your account number, and the current balance.
- Tap any account item to view its details.
- Tap the "Open New Account" button at the bottom to create an additional account.
- Account Detail Screen:
- This screen shows a large display of your selected account's balance and number.
- It features several action buttons:
- Transfer (✈️): Send money to another character's bank account.
- Deposit (📥): Move currency from your character sheet/inventory into this bank account.
- Withdraw (📤): Take money out of this bank account and add it to your character sheet/inventory.
- Manage (⚙️): Opens a menu to view transaction history or delete the account.
- Key Functions:
- Transferring Funds:
- From the Account Detail screen, tap Transfer.
- Select the destination Bank from the dropdown list.
- Enter the recipient's Account Number.
- Enter the Amount you wish to send for each available currency type.
- You can add an optional Memo that the recipient will see in their transaction history (your character's name is used by default).
- Tap "Execute Transfer" to complete the transaction.
- Depositing & Withdrawing:
- These actions directly link the bank with your character sheet's currency attributes.
- On the Deposit or Withdraw screen, enter the amount of each currency you wish to move. You cannot deposit or withdraw more than you currently have on your character sheet or in your bank account, respectively.
- Tap the "Execute" button to confirm the transaction. The funds will be automatically adjusted in both the app and on your character sheet.
- Viewing Transaction History:
- From the Account Detail screen, tap Manage and then select "View History."
- This screen provides a detailed log of all transactions for that account, including transfers, deposits, and withdrawals, along with the date and the other party involved.
- Opening a New Account:
- Tap the "Open New Account" button on the main screen.
- You will see a list of all available banks in the game world. Tap the bank you wish to open an account with.
- A new account with a unique number will be instantly created for you. Your first account is automatically set as your primary account.
- Deleting an Account:
- From the Account Detail screen, tap Manage and then select "Delete Account."
- Important: You can only delete an account if its balance is completely zero across all currency types. You may need to withdraw or transfer any remaining funds first.
- Required GM Setup:
- Available Banks: The list of banks you can choose from (e.g., "City Bank," "Arasaka Financial") is created and managed by the GM.
- Currency Types: The types of money used in the game (e.g., Gold Pieces, Eurobucks, Credits) and their relationship to your character sheet are configured by the GM.
- Account Formats: The structure of account numbers for each bank is determined by the GM.
