School Profile

Shanghai Singapore International School (SSIS) was established in 1996 and has become a reputable international school since implementing the IB (International Baccalaureate) program in 2003. Currently, the elementary curriculum follows Singapore's educational system, including textbooks and content. This is done to ensure that students from this school can easily adapt when returning to their home country. Therefore, the elementary program focuses more on Chinese language education rather than English, providing specialized instruction. For the middle school program, SSIS operates the Singapore-Cambridge GCE "O" Level Programme, which helps students gain admission to English-speaking schools in their respective countries. Additionally, the school implements the IB Middle Program, fostering interest and understanding of global issues and diverse cultures. The high school program is designed for students aged 16 to 19 and offers the IB Program as a preparatory course for admission to English-speaking universities.
