The Role

We’re looking for a Backend Engineer who loves turning complex systems into simple, delightful user experiences.

You’ll design and build the core backend, data, and infrastructure that power our consumer products - from data processing pipelines and ML-powered features to the backend architecture that keeps everything fast, reliable, and magical. You’ll work closely with design and product to bring features to life end-to-end.

This is a highly collaborative, high-ownership role perfect for someone who enjoys both systems thinking and crafting user-visible impact.

How you’ll contribute…

• Architect, build, and maintain the backend systems that power our product - APIs, data pipelines, queues, cloud infra, and internal tooling.
• Own core services that process, enrich, classify, and search massive volumes of user data.
• Design and evolve our infra foundations (GCP, Cloud Run, databases, task queues, caching, vector stores, etc.).
• Work closely with the founders to translate product ideas into reliable, scalable technical systems.
• Prototype quickly when exploring new product directions, then turn prototypes into production-grade systems.
• Build internal tools + automations that enable rapid iteration, better insights, and delightful user experiences.
• Bring an eye for product quality - everything you build exists in service of a magical consumer experience.
