In the evening, which is the family's shared activity time, the living and dining areas are primarily used. These areas connect to the central courtyard garden and can serve as a gathering space.
The mother's room is situated on the first floor (ground floor) for the elderly resident's convenience. It is located near the front of the house and the garden, allowing her to see people passing by, which helps to alleviate loneliness, while trees provide a screen from the outside view.
The design emphasizes a simple, modern, and airy form. Eaves were incorporated to protect against direct sunlight and rain. The roof structure was concealed, and an extra layer of wall was added at the edge of the eaves to maintain the exterior's simple, rectangular box shape and provide sun shading for certain areas.
