At FightPandemics, we believe that Covid-19 is not the first pandemic, nor would it be the last. Along with its unprecedented impact on people's lives all over the world, Covid-19 has pushed people unpreparedly into partial or full lockdown. All of a sudden, the supermarket 200 metres from home becomes the farthest destination and the only occasion to dress up to impress for many.
Two days after seeing my boyfriend's band play at a karaoke club in Berlin with hundreds of other people, we were quarantined separately in our own home following the German government's instructions. Individuals' travel plans were dropped, some lost their employment, and many businesses crumbled.
