What you'll do
As part of the Avionics team at Aule, you will be responsible for the design, prototyping, testing, assembly, and validation of the spacecraft/payload digital hardware.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and develop space and radiation-tolerant and highly reliable electronics
- Bring-up, debugging, and validation of boards and modules
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mechanical, thermal, software, RF, GNC, and manufacturing engineers to solve challenging problems and develop innovative and creative solutions
- Plan and run environmental tests (EMI/EMC, TVAC, Vibration)
- Generate fab/assembly packages and close DFM/DFA feedback
- Analyze digital avionics subcomponents, run trade studies, and manage vendor procurement
What we look for
Minimum requirements
- 1+ years of hands-on experience in PCB designing
- Proficiency in Altium/KiCad with strong library and rule/constraint management.
- Experience designing reliable hardware for mission-critical system
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with high-speed interfaces (Ethernet/LVDS/SpaceWire/MIPI)
- Exposure to space/harsh-environment basics: FMECA, derating, WCA, outgassing
- Basic Python for test automation and data logging
- Worked with EMI/EMC, TVAC, and vibration vendors
- Familiar with configuration control and ECOs
