Availability is a percentage of scheduled time that the operation is available to operate. On this page we will give an overview of how Availability is calculated and how can you set up the GlobalReader environment to have the correct Availability for your devices.

Availability has many different aspects tied into one and each of the aspects can be adjusted within the GlobalReader environment:

• Shifts - defines overall possible availability time. Read more about Shifts
• Minimum production level for devices and products - affects active minutes count if production is below the set minimum level, then this production is not included in OEE calculation. Read more about device minimum production and product minimum production
• Interruptions - affect active minutes count. Planned interruptions reduce overall availability and unplanned do not affect availability

Availability analysis in GlobalReader Analytics

Availability can be easily analyzed using the GlobalReader Analytics environment as it is a key element of many of the reports. Reports only dedicated to Availability are:

• Availability (multi-device) - comparing similar devices with each other with option to export data

• Availability (single device) - comparing one device availability week to week or day to day
