Shortcuts

• split clips: ctrl + i
• Delete selection while leaving gap: ctrl + k

Ducking

• Make sure that the audio clip you want to be ducked (Music) is directly above the “Ducker” (Key signal / Vocals)
• Select the portion of audio that you want to be processed (Music clip)
• Go to “Effects” → “Volume and Compression” → “Auto Duck…”
• Adjust parameters (Threshold / Duck amount / Fades)
• Apply
• If the desired effect has not been achieved → Undo → Repeat by adjusting parameters accordingly

Noise Removal/Reduction (Useful for static noises)

• Select the “noise sample”
• Go to → “Effects” → “Noise removal and Repair” → “Noise Reduction”
• Click “Get noise profile”
• Select the clip / audio region you want that noise to be removed from
• Go to → “Effects” → “Noise removal and Repair” → “Noise Reduction” (again)
• Adjust parameters
