Shortcuts
- split clips: ctrl + i
- Delete selection while leaving gap: ctrl + k
Ducking
- Make sure that the audio clip you want to be ducked (Music) is directly above the “Ducker” (Key signal / Vocals)
- Select the portion of audio that you want to be processed (Music clip)
- Go to “Effects” → “Volume and Compression” → “Auto Duck…”
- Adjust parameters (Threshold / Duck amount / Fades)
- Apply
- If the desired effect has not been achieved → Undo → Repeat by adjusting parameters accordingly
Noise Removal/Reduction (Useful for static noises)
- Select the “noise sample”
- Go to → “Effects” → “Noise removal and Repair” → “Noise Reduction”
- Click “Get noise profile”
- Select the clip / audio region you want that noise to be removed from
- Go to → “Effects” → “Noise removal and Repair” → “Noise Reduction” (again)
- Adjust parameters
