During the virtual interview process, we'll have a chance to know each other better! We will establish whether you're a good fit for the role and you'll discover whether the hype about working at Africa's Pocket is real (and what you're after)!

How it works:

  1. Between your application and invitation to interview, you'll be invited to take either a technical assessment in Hackerrank or complete a written case assessment (depending on the role/department).
  2. If we're impressed by your performance in the technical assessment/written case assessment, you'll then be invited to the first round of interviews with our CEO and another member of the team from the department you're applying to. This interview round is mainly an abilities and skills assessment, we'll also chat about your background and give you a chance to take us through your case assessment or technical assessment.
  3. If we're blown away in your first interview, you'll be invited for the second round of interviews with our CEO and one or two other members of our team. This interview round is focused on assessing behaviour and culture-fit and will also give you a chance to meet more members of the amazing team at Africa's Pocket.

Here is how to prepare for your virtual interview:

  1. Get yourself clued in on who we are, what we do, our vision and mission and our products - we're big on culture-fit and culture-add (show us that you'll add value to Africa's Pocket).
  2. Make sure you understand our values, the kind of skills we'd be looking for, and assess your skills against the JD to be sure you match up to our requirements.
  3. Make it easy for us to see how you're driven, collaborative, curious, adaptable and a self-starter, and that you take ownership of your work and are proud of it.
  4. Prepare a great set of questions to ask us - we appreciate inquisitive, curious minds and a challenge is always welcome!
