FNOBA ANNOUNCES

Atlanticx: "Composition Course Latin America". Compose and premiere with soloists from Ensamble 2e2m (France). Take part in seminars with a staff of global-leading artists/professors and participate in our intensive in-person winter school 2022 in New York City. Six months total starting from august of 2021. Residency during early February of 2022 at Music of the Americas (As/COA) and Hunter College (CUNY).

Postgraduate level seminars on composition resources and aesthetics
"WINTER SCHOOL": week-long intensive interdisciplinary co-creation residency in New York (USA): performance and new-work laboratory, classes and masterclasses
Reading and/or premiere of your composition in New York during units 6 to 8 (winter school)

ATLANTICX OFFERS SCHOLARSHIPS AND FINANCIAL AID ON A COMPETITIVE AND INDIVIDUAL BASIS

FULL AND PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS OPPORTUNITIES are available to cover for the cost of tuition. Students applying for financial aid are elegible for a full (100%) or half (50%) scholarship — please use the form above to request if necessary, one option only)
The number of scholarships and prizes assigned will depend on the total pool of applications and the number of students-residents accepted into the Course.

OUR PROGRAM

We are an alliance of NGOs that promote musical creation in Latin America. We propose a comprehensive course on collaborative composition and advanced contemporary music topics, in 2 parts: (1) Atlanticx Composition Course: seminars, workshops and composition mentoring, and (2) Winter School 2022: premieres / readings, masterclasses and a trans-disciplinary residency for Latin American composers.
