Ria’s is a relaxed neighbourhood spot that brings together the simple pleasures of deep-pan pizza and natural wine. Since opening in September 2023, we've been working hard and fast to build Ria’s into something that brings many people joy through a simple glass and a slice.

Now, as we look to expand, we’re looking for a hands-on Assistant Manager to help lead the charge — someone who thrives on the buzz of a busy service, loves leading a team, and has a sharp eye for detail.

At Ria's, we believe that great service, a saucy slice and a glass of wine can brighten anyone’s day and we need someone to play a key role in creating that experience for our customers. We’re looking for an ambitious senior supervisor or assistant manager to work alongside Ria herself and our management team, to be a customer champion and have fun in the process!

Responsibilities

As Assistant Manager you will support the leadership team in cultivating the customer experience at Ria’s, and be responsible for the smooth running of service. You will:

• Be a great example: you’re a superstar on the floor, and set the standard for warm, efficient and knowledgeable service, and never let anyone on the team move that standard
• Problem-solve issues for staff and be a great, inspiring manager
• Assume responsibility for FOH operations in the absence of management
• Leading & running services as well as taking the lead on wine briefings & training
• Assist in training and mentoring FOH staff on product knowledge and wine service
• Assisting management with the day to day operations of the restaurant, opening & closing of the restaurant
• Supporting management with staff training on shift
• Fostering a positive work environment built on mutual respect and teamwork
• Stock management and ordering support (stock counts)
• Site maintenance and ensuring following H&S protocols
• Manage reservations, collections and takeaway while on shift
