Ascend is the largest, non-profit Pan-Asian organization for business professionals in North America. The mission of Ascend is to enable its members, corporate partners, and the professional Pan-Asian community to leverage the leadership and global business potential of Pan-Asian professionals worldwide.
I joined the Ascend UW Chapter to gain hands-on experience in program development and implementation. I am also very passionate about student leadership and professional development, and I wanted to serve as a collective voice for the campus communities by building partnerships with cultural registered student-run organizations and student executive group initiatives.
At Ascend, I've organized and led the Project Management event from the ground up, which has been delivered and presented on the UW Dawg Daze, a longstanding tradition and one of the nation's LARGEST welcome weeks that features more than 250 events from 60 UW departments and student organizations at the University of Washington. We also gained a +20% increase of new members, reaching +70% user visits on Ascend's social media platform within 1 week.
During the summer of July 2020, I've also organized the first-ever Ascend cross-chapter discussion with the University of Berkeley and the University of British Columbia to develop long-lasting relationship building and partners for the advancement of our mission and team programming.
I feel so blessed and supported by the amazing, talented team at Ascend UW 2020-2021. They treat me like family. Thank you so much, Gary Nguyen, Jun Anh, Gabby Isaguirre, Waley Lin, Alina Guo, & Kevin Kim 🧡
