What immediate needs and/or high-impact areas in the Arbitrum DAO does your project address? This question is required.
Problems:
- Low ROI on grant programs
- Abuse - grants gaming, sybil armies, hype over build culture
- Broadly scoped grants funding making it impossible to track success.
- Disillusioned builders who don't feel grants correlate to building valuable stuff
- Projects that prioritize grant revenue tend to get more grants, but too often they wind up with nothing to show for it.
Summarize your project idea
Your answer should address the following:
- Deliverables
- Execution overview (e.g. timeline, team/roles, etc.)
- Target outcomes/metrics that will define the project’s success
Our program will fund Conviction Voting pools using Gardens v2, targeted at specific verticals in the Arbitrum ecosystem . We’ll use these to foster a set of small, open communities with hands-on knowledge of each vertical.
Program Deliverables:
- Create a gardens v2 Community with $ARB as its staking token
- Establish a Council Safe representing both expertise in Conviction Voting and leaders in the Arbitrum ecosystem development
- Publish a Covenant that serves as the enforceable social contract for the grant program
