Hey potential Protein Community Members!
We're excited to read your application and bring you into the Protein Community: in case you were wondering what criteria we're using to bring people in we've listed it below:
Most of the applications which don't make the cut are usually down to people not filling out the applications properly and us not being able to get to know you enough, so please take 5-10 minutes to answer the questions thoughtfully 💛
The membership team will take a look at your socials too, if you include it, but the more context you add to the questions the more it helps us bring you into different working groups and overall vibes of the Community! 💫
We believe in an open, transparent, and intersectional Community so these applications are a safe space to share your viewpoint, background, interests and aspirations 🌈
We've listed 4 values we consider when looking at each application, please be truthful and honest with these...
1**. Light-Medium understanding of Web3**
You might be an expert, but you don't need to be! There's lots of education and instructions to help ease you into web3 within the Protein Community, however, some basic understanding of the Web3 space helps. Having an ETH address is a requirement. At this point we just want to know that you'll be at least a little bit prepared for what's to come in the Community 💜
2. Skills to build! (e.g. web developers, engineers, designers, copywriters, project managers, curators)...
We're always looking for people with technical skills to join the Community to help us bring all of our ideas to life. Whether you're a developer or enjoy a bit of creative coding, we'd love to know if you have any of these skills which you'd like to bring into the Community.
3. Skills to create! (e.g. artists, filmmakers, activists, community leaders, event promoters, writers, curators, musicians)...
We are all about creative energy and want to know what gets this part of your brain ticking, if you are this way inclined. Do you enjoy creating? What kind of creativity inspires you? Are you part of any creative communities? Why is creativity important to you?
4**. Intersectionality (e.g. prioritising femmes, non-binary, queer, gender nonconforming, and BIPOC members)**
We don't want to replicate problems from IRL and Web2 of underrepresentation into Web3 and believe that the richest, most important and necessary ideas come from equally intersectional groups of people. We're looking for people who bring and welcome a fluid exchange of different perspectives and ideas, ready to listen with an open heart and mind.
