Focus: App Publishing (Google Play & Apple App Store)
Prepared: June 2025
The app publishing process was carried out in May 2025 using the webtoapp.design platform. While the overall process would have been highly technical when done manually, webtoapp.design significantly simplified it through automation and clear documentation. All major technical steps such as app build creation, signing, certificate management and submission were handled automatically or guided by the platform. The process can be completed by a non-technical team member.
The app was accepted by Google Play 7 days after submitting it for review. No rejections were encountered. It 2 additional weeks afterwards until the app could be found through the Google Play search function. According to webtoapp.design, this is normal and an issue on Google’s side. The app could immediately be downloaded via a direct link to the store listing.
The iOS version of the app was submitted through App Store Connect. Two days after submission, Apple rejected the app during review. The rejection was due to a content-related clarification Apple required, not due to a technical issue. The webtoapp.design team responded promptly and handled the communication with Apple. Two days after resubmission, the app was approved and published to the App Store. The app could be found using the search function within 24 hours.
Publishing apps directly to the Apple App Store and Google Play remains a process with multiple technical and administrative steps. However, using webtoapp.design eliminated nearly all manual complexity. The platform's built-in automation, along with responsive support, enabled a smooth publishing experience. The only time-intensive aspect was waiting for review periods—approximately 7 days for Google and 2 days per review cycle for Apple.
Future app updates can also be initiated through the webtoapp.design platform. The process will presumably be similar.
