📅 Upcoming Events & Funding Deadlines

• Keep an eye out for upcoming events and funding deadlines on our website! They are updated on a weekly basis.
• FFU related events and promoted funding deadlines will appear on our Worksheets calendar view. Please make note of what’s in-person or virtual.
• All events posted will be free/low-cost and based in Baltimore.

📝 Spark Team Requirements

• Attend opening welcome meeting (on Zoom)
• Create team venture goals for the semester and meet with a FFU advisor at least once a month to review progress
• Complete online curriculum, including all worksheets
• Each team must have at least one JHU team lead present at all cohort meetings. If missed, your team must schedule a separate make-up meeting with FFU staff (max of 2 times).
  • Attending virtual weekly Mastermind meetings is required to receive the Spark grant
• Each team must attend three 1-on-1 meetings with your Strategic Advisor during the semester (utilize office hours). It is strongly encouraged to space the meetings on a monthly cadence. We encourage you to coordinate at least one of those meetings in person, if based in Baltimore.
• If you are anticipating generating revenue in 3-6 months, you need to chart a path to incorporation (LLC, C-corp, nonprofit, etc) and discuss with your Strategic Advisors.
• Register for Paymentworks. This is only applicable to teams who are in compliance with all requirements by Week 11.
