Case: Malik v Thames Valley Police (AC-2025-LON-001909)
Purpose: To justify a court-ordered investigation into the financial relationship between Thames Valley Police (TVP) and Kennedys Law LLP.
1. Refusal of Transparency (TVP)
- FOI requests on Kennedys’ payments have been refused or obstructed.
- A public body has no lawful basis to withhold supplier spend data.
2. Digital Concealment (Kennedys)
- Wayback Machine shows Kennedys’ “Public Sector” webpage was live until 2024.
- By September 2025 it was deleted, now showing “404 Not Found.”
- Between June–August 2025, Kennedys also removed their X/Twitter link.
- This is a deliberate erasure strategy, not a technical glitch.
3. Obfuscatory Corporate Structure
- Companies House records show a complex pattern of appointments, resignations, and interlinked entities.
- This is consistent with money flow obfuscation, not standard law firm administration.
4. Absence from Official Frameworks
- Kennedys is not listed on Crown Commercial Service legal frameworks RM6179 or RM6240.
- Yet, they advertise public sector work and clearly serve clients like TVP.
