As we step off the Ferris wheel, the world around us seems to start moving again.
It's already fully dark, yet the lights of the amusement park and the fireworks blooming across the sky dye the night in brilliant, flowing colors—
Bang! A firework bursts open right above us, dazzling as it explodes.
Aaron: Ah! The parade has already started!
Aaron looks up at the sky and shouts excitedly. The next second, he grabs my hand and breaks into a run without a second thought.
Aaron: Come on! If we run, we can still make it!
[MC]: Wait—
I try to call out to Aaron, but he has no intention of slowing down. Before I can finish my sentence, I'm gradually pulled faster by his pace.
There aren't many people left on the streets. Most of the crowd seems to have moved toward where the parade is taking place, and many of the attractions have dimmed their lights to a faint glow.
The music grows quieter. The sound of the wind becomes clearer as it rushes past my ears, faintly mixed with cheers from the distant crowd.
