A dedicated volunteer since March 2023, Amy has a special place in her heart for the cats who need it most.

“I absolutely love working with the ICU cats,” she says. “They don't get a lot of attention and they need so much love. It's amazing to watch them perk up when you walk in the room.”

She understands that healing requires more than just medicine; it requires comfort and care.

“So many cats are social eaters and often I just stand with them as they eat just to give them a sense of security.”

As a trainer for nearly two years, she is energized by the enthusiasm of new volunteers. “The people who sign up are eager to learn and to help.” She particularly enjoys guiding people who are new to feline friends, finding it fun to help them learn how to read cat behavior.
