On Nigeria's 2023 Presidential Election

Nigeria, as the most populous black nation, is nearly at the brink of democrisis, but the hope of its youths seems to be an undying front for resistance amidst police brutality, political oppression, and economic sabotage due to lack of good governance. Resistance for a better part is birthed out of necessity to make displeasures of the people of Green White Green known to the people in power and this has come in different form like peaceful protest, to voting for change of government. The youth thought if they protest against injustice and the outrageous abuse of human rights perpetrated by the arms of government will be brought to book but then October 20, 2020 happened.

Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. — Marie Currie

Moving forward to 2023 presidential election, the undying hope of every common man to rise above political despair to economic freedom rose again. Just as we were told by the ruling party who executed massacres on their own citizens to take our protest to the polling units, and so we did but many were disenfranchised by Independence National Electoral Commission (INEC) and political thuggishery. Others made to once again lost trust in the institution.

However, the choice of candidacy against all odds was made obvious by the people's vote for a reputable character known to be Peter Obi of Labor Party who was met with a man with mysterious identity and background as opposition party of All Progressive Congress (APC)

Bola Ahmed Tinubu is known to his affiliated background with cocaine trafficking, on October 4, 1993, a U.S. court passed a judgement on Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his involvement in narcotics trafficking and financial transactions in violation of the U.S laws and ordered a forfeiture of $460,000. He's no man to be feared, but understanding what his becoming of a president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria means is enough to know why he was widely rejected by Nigerians at the polls. A non-reputable figure with criminal records at the Aso Rock means illegality becoming the law of the country.

But then, there's a non-violent resistance with show of unwavering strength and courage with defiance spirit speaking truth to power, countering propagandas, and keeping the last stand up and running to ascertain the certificate of return be returned through due process of the court of law—the last hope of common man. They're no insurrectionists nor fascists.

It is only interesting to know that in the face of injustice, resistance is a survival instinct as a last resort to the people of every progressive nation and the Obidients movement have taken the grandstanding mantle of historical responsibility to set the record clearly yet memorable.

I would expect that every nation that claims to practice such deceptive lies of make-believe to take or enforce power through democracy should withdraw their congratulatory outreach towards acknowledging the President-select or rather president-proposed, be considered enemies of progression.

UK, US authorities, we the greens and white rejected the emergence of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as our President. Do not for your economic interest and political influence jeopardize the political freedom of Nigerians.

We know our President as Peter Gregory Obi and our President knows us. Meet the people you challenged to go to court and understand the power of N5,430 in a society where the people have had enough.
