Welcome to Alvio. We are building a mental health and wellness platform designed with a radically transparent, privacy-first approach. Because mental health data is among the most sensitive information you can generate, our core philosophy is simple: Your data belongs to you.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Alvio application ("App"), website, and related services.
1. Our "Privacy-First" Commitments
To clearly separate ourselves from the industry norm, we make the following guarantees:
- No Ad-Brokers: We do not and will not sell your personal data or mental health records to third-party data brokers or advertisers.
- Anti-Ad Tier: We do not offer an ad-supported free tier. Our business model relies strictly on direct subscriptions to ensure your usage data is never monetized.
- Local-First Storage: By default, your journal entries, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) exercises, and mood tracking data are encrypted and stored locally on your device.
2. Information We Collect
A. Information Stored Locally (Not Sent to Our Servers)
To maximize your privacy, the following data is processed and stored locally on your device unless you explicitly opt-in to secure cloud backups:
- Personal journal entries and reflections.
- Mood tracking history and mood correlation charts.
- Completed CBT frameworks (e.g., Fear Ladders, Belief Experiments).
B. Information We Collect Directly
When you create an account to use premium features or sync across devices, we collect:
- Account Data: Email address, password (hashed), and basic profile information.
- Payment Information: Processed securely through third-party platforms (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play, Stripe). We do not store your full credit card details.
