The Role

• You will be designing, building, architecting and maintaining APIs complete with openapi documentation
• You’ll be adding unit and integration tests to the platform as you build
• You’ll meet with product to resolve ambiguities and plan projects
• You’ll be able to build quickly and swiftly while understanding the tradeoffs between the “right” solution and the “quick” solution
• Added experience with database technologies and other caching mechanisms (redis, memcache) are a plus
• Experience with supporting numerous integrations and keeping data in sync is another plus
• Expertise in Python is a plus

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have

• 3+ years professional experience as a software engineer
• A commitment to & interest in building simple & maintainable architectures
• Ability to thrive in a startup environment that’s full of ambiguity - experience balancing tradeoffs to make complex decisions where there is no ‘right’ answer
• Good communication and personal skills; ability to interact and work well with the team
• Interest in development of company culture and its reflection in our engineering practices
