IMPORTANT DISCLOSURE!

Waverly Stone maintains a zero-tolerance policy for allergen mishandling. All staff share responsibility for preventing allergic reactions. Follow the steps below every time a guest mentions an allergy.

Purpose

Ensure safe service for guests with food allergies by standardizing how we identify, communicate, prepare, and document allergy orders. This is a zero-tolerance policy — any failure to follow these procedures will result in corrective action or termination.

Core Principles

Step-by-Step: At the Table

  1. Listen and clarify: "What is the specific allergen?" "How sensitive is the guest?"
  2. Repeat back for accuracy and confirm avoidance needs.
  3. Inform the MoD immediately for any severe allergy or uncertainty.
  4. Offer safe options or check with the kitchen before promising anything.
  5. Remind the guest we will document and flag their order end-to-end.
