Children’s Programme – Sukata Way
👶 1. Sukatiny (Ages 3–5)
🧠 Developmental Focus:
At this stage, children are developing motor coordination, balance, and the ability to follow instructions. Their sense of time, space, and social interaction is still emerging, so the focus must be playful, structured, and supportive.
🎯 Goals:
- Introduce the mat as a safe, respectful space
- Develop body awareness through playful drills
- Teach how to listen, take turns, and follow basic instructions
- Establish key values: respect, patience, confidence
🥋 Class Characteristics:
- Class length: 30–40 minutes
- No sparring – only controlled drills and games
- Light introduction to Jiu-Jitsu positions: mount, guard, side control
- Mat etiquette: bowing, belt awareness, lining up properly
- Frequent positive reinforcement and praise
🧒 2. Sukata Kids (Ages 6–12)
🧠 Developmental Focus:
At this stage, children are capable of retaining technique, understanding sequences, and handling constructive feedback. Their cognitive, social, and emotional skills grow quickly — which makes this a critical age for shaping attitude, resilience, and character.
