Advisor Notes are proactive tips that appear at the top of your Dashboard. GrowLog checks your garden every day and generates notes when something needs your attention — without you having to ask.


How It Works

Once a day, GrowLog automatically:

  1. Fetches the 3-day weather forecast for each of your gardens
  2. Reviews your recent crop activity
  3. Generates relevant notes and adds them to your Dashboard

Notes are prioritized so the most urgent items appear first.


Types of Advisor Notes

Weather Alerts

Alert When it triggers
Rain expected soon Rain is forecast in the next 1–2 days — skip watering, protect low-lying beds
Dry stretch ahead No rain for 5+ days with high temps — increase watering frequency
Frost risk tonight Overnight temps near or below freezing — cover tender crops
High mildew risk High humidity (85%+) combined with mild temps (10–26°C) — conditions favour fungal disease
High winds expected Strong wind forecast — stake tall crops and check trellises

Crop Follow-Up Reminders

GrowLog scans your recent session logs and reminds you to follow up when it detects you mentioned:

pH follow-up You mentioned acidity, lime, or soil testing
Pest follow-up You mentioned aphids, slugs, insects, or other pests
Fertilizer follow-up You mentioned feeding, nitrogen, compost, or nutrients
Transplant check-in You mentioned transplanting or moving a crop
Harvest approaching Your crop’s expected harvest date is coming up
Check-in reminder A crop hasn’t had a session log in a while

AI Insights

Occasionally GrowLog generates an ai_insight note — a tip or observation generated by the AI based on patterns in your garden data.


Acting on a Note

Each note has an optional action button (e.g. “Frost protection tips”, “Get watering tips”). Tapping it opens the relevant crop’s AI chat with the alert context already loaded — the AI knows what you’re following up on and responds accordingly.

Tap the on any note to dismiss it. It won’t reappear for a set period:
