The advance referral plugin automates the distribution of referral fees and allows the admin to create complex referral structures to incentivize exchange users. The plugin periodically checks for referrals and settles a percentage of the fees to the user who made the referral.

Users who refer others can earn a percentage of the trading fees generated by the users they onboarded. You can set the percentage dynamically as the administrator. This feature encourages users to invite others to the exchange and rewards them for doing so.

This can be found from the exchange app store and simply click the green ‘install’ button to install and enable the plugin on your exchange.

To configure the Advance Referral plugin, you need to set the following parameters.

Public

• earning_rate: The percentage of affiliated user fees earned by the referring user.
• earning_period: The number of months that the referring user earns fees from affiliated users. Set to "0" for no earning expiry.
• earning_interval: The interval at which the plugin settles referred user fees. You can select month, week or day.
  • Month: will run every first day of a month at midnight.
  • Week: will run every Sunday at midnight.
  • Day: will run every day at midnight.

Private

• distributor_id: You need to input the account ID to send settled fees from.

Additionally, the ‘manually upgrade’ feature allows you to update the plugin to a newer version by uploading a .json file. This will preserve the current plugin's configuration values, ensuring that your settings are not lost during the upgrade process.
