An advance notice for users when editing before the issue happens.

🙇‍♀️ Problem Overview

PhotoGrid users especially the ones of using the Android system, faced the difficulties of changing the text color when editing. Engineers and QA had been looking into the issue for months but the user feedback remained. The issue also led to the churn rate of our app and bad reputation in the Google Play store.

As the leading editing of mobile software in the market — we saw an urgent issue to be solved immediately.

• The usage rate of the text function on the Android system is the second major-used functionality
• Users faced the difficulty of changing the text color

🎯 Product Goal

1. Reduce the churn rate caused by this issue
2. Make sure the issue had been solved before the users doing their edits

💪 Responsibilities

My role was to find out how the issue happened to certain users and how to prevent it from happening in the future.

• Analyze compete product's solution, which is the key to find out how the issue happened
• Create a notification and define the appearing timing when the system already detects the issue will happen if the user turned on a certain setting on their phone.
• Create wireframe and coordinate with Front-End engineers to create a toast and bubble
