⛔ Important: You can only add an existing contact to a project. If the contact doesn’t exist in the system, you must create the contact.

Does the Contact Exist in the database?

To check if the contact exists, make a search under the “Contacts” tab. Click here Search for Projects to learn more about how to search for contacts.

To add an existing contact to a project, click on the [Add Existing Contact to Project] button under the Project Details page.

Having Many Contacts in a Project

✅ You can add as many contacts as needed to a project.

Example

For example, in the situation where there are (2) different contractors bidding the same project: AHC - Allen Harrison Construction (Justin Adams and Frank Hill) and Textron Construction (Joel Harris and Kevin Lemon).

These contacts already exist in the system. If one does not exist, you must first create the contact.

All (4) contacts can be added to the project, under the Contacts section

{screenshot with the 4 contacts as part of the project details page, with an arrow to the Add Existing Contact to Project}

👍 The benefit of having multiple contacts in one project is that you can create many proposals for the same project.

In the example above, each contractor can have their own proposal, while keeping everything inside of the same project. {show list of proposals with the name of the contacts}

The contacts on each proposal can be changed inside of Edit Proposal. To learn more about changing a proposal, click here Edit a Proposal.
