KL artist Adam The Wan debuts his new music video Before It's Too Late

Adam The Wan is a multi-instrumentalist producer and bedroom pop artist, who speaks about reconciling his inner child with the realities of adulthood.
Most of his material was written during a period of pandemic-induced displacement - with relationship, career, and dreams floating in limbo. Through floating pop vocal melodies, over a bed of swelling synths and frantic bass lines, Adam explores the desire to find steady footing on unstable ground.
Before It's Too Late is a hip-hop-inspired pop production that talks about the struggles of dealing with failures, and the importance of getting back up again.
Adam: "Before It's Too Late was written during a particularly frustrating period of my life. At the time, we were in the middle of pivoting our failing startup idea. When I wrote this song, I was in several months deep into sacrificing my salary and bashing out different startup ideas that just didn't seem to work. Not only that, the pandemic was just starting up, so I had to cancel a bunch of plans due to the lockdown. This song was me reassuring myself mentally to get through the pain and pick myself back up to start again."
Adam: "With the music video, my director Azri Saadon (aka Nameless) just put me in various stressful situations. There was a lot of running around, screaming, and jumping around on set. At one point, we decided that I'd be wrapped inside a cocoon and videotaped me struggling to get out of it. The video itself is like a fever dream, akin to one of those dreams you have of running away from something that’s chasing you.”
