All accepted abstracts will be published in a special issue of the Canadian Journal of Kidney Health and Disease (CJKHD).

Abstract guidelines:

• All types of complement-related research, including case reports, are eligible for submission
• Abstracts previously presented (oral and poster) at another meeting are eligible for consideration
• Previously published research or research that will be accepted for publication by September 30, 2021 is not eligible for consideration
• Authors may submit more than one abstract
• Accepted abstracts will be assigned for oral presentation or poster presentatio
  • Oral presentations are for 15 minutes (10 minutes + 5 minutes Q&A) in front of the full audience of attendees
  • Abstracts accepted for poster presentation will involve a digital recorded presentation (details will be emailed out with abstract acceptances)
• It is the responsibility of the presenting author to arrange for their own meeting registration
• All accepted abstracts will be automatically considered for an abstract award

Submission requirements:

• All abstracts must be submitted by the deadline to [email protected] for consideration by the Scientific Committee

• Abstracts must be a maximum of 250 words (excluding author names and affiliations, title, and figure/table)

• Submitted files MUST be in PDF (.pdf) format only and should be typed in Times New Roman, font size 12 point, single spaced, with a single line-spacing between each paragraph

• Submissions must contain all of the components below and be formatted according to the following guidelines:

  • Title, in the following format:

    TITLE (bolded, all caps)

  • Author list and affiliations, in the following specific format:

    Presenting Author Last Name, First Initial1; Co-author Last Name, First Initial2; Co-author Last Name, First Initial3

    1. Affiliation of presenting author in italics (Department, Institution, City, Country)
    2. Affiliation of co-author in italics (Department, Institution, City, Country)
    3. Affiliation of co-author in italics (Department, Institution, City, Country)

  • Body, organized into the following sections, with all section headers in bolded all caps and on their own lines, and a single space between sections:

    BACKGROUND

    MATERIALS AND METHODS

    RESULTS

    DISCUSSION

    CONCLUSION

    REFERENCES

    • A maximum of 10 references may be included.

    TABLE/FIGURE (optional)

    • A maximum of 1 table OR 1 figure may be included in the abstract.
    • Color figures are permissible.
    • Figures must be submitted in the same PDF (.pdf) document as the abstract.

  • Whether you want to be considered for a poster or oral presentation, or both
