Tendara is a caregiver matching mobile application commissioned by Vitalbridge Technologies Ltd - a Lagos-based healthtech startup founded by two former nurses who identified a critical gap in the caregiving market firsthand. Across Africa and global emerging markets, families struggle to find trusted, verified caregivers through safe and reliable channels. The current process is entirely informal — driven by word of mouth, unverified referrals and WhatsApp groups — leaving families exposed to safety risks and caregivers without a professional platform to build their careers. As the assigned Project Manager, I was responsible for end-to-end delivery of the Tendara MVP — from project initiation and requirements gathering through to UI/UX design oversight, development coordination, quality assurance and app store launch. The project was delivered within a fixed budget of ₦2,800,000 over an 8-week timeline using Agile methodology with two-week sprint cycles.

The global caregiving industry is worth over $500 billion and growing due to ageing populations worldwide. Yet families in Nigeria, across Africa and in markets like the UK, Canada and India have no reliable digital platform to find, vet and book professional caregivers. Tendara addresses this gap by providing a verified, secure and convenient marketplace connecting families with qualified caregivers - enabling families to browse profiles, submit booking requests, track active care sessions and pay securely through the app, while giving caregivers a professional platform to manage bookings, build a verified reputation and grow their income.
