<aside> 💡 Katrin and Andrew met during the pandemic online and have been the pair who writes across the pond since the beginning of 2021.

For as long as he can remember, Andrew has wanted to write. But he thought his words would be about athletes instead of actions within a user interface, football instead of flows within a digital experience.
In 2018, Andrew transitioned to UX writing after nearly a decade in sports journalism. Since, he has grown to love the creative and collaborative opportunities found within the field. Shortly after quarantine began in 2020, he developed an interest in meeting UX writers throughout the world to chat about career journeys and best practices. In March 2021, he began as a UX Writing Hub mentor.
When he's not working as a UX Content Strategist, he loves life in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, with his wife and dog. He enjoys hiking in the mountains, following sports, and drinking wine slushies.
So humble and well-versed, a great conversationalist
High drive to push himself
Fun to talk to (eager to welcome him and his wife in Germany post-Covid)
Katrin found joy in reading, writing and speaking at a really young age—and basically never stopped. Constantly seeking new ways to express herself, she made up stories in school, picked German and English literature for her university degree and until recently even wrote, produced and published her own fanzine. Writing is just "her thing".
If asked whether she ever did classical pair writing, the answer would be No (since writing SEA for performance marketing does not really qualify in her opinion). There might have been some papers in uni that were a shared effort, but she did not do it professionally. That is why she is extra excited to pick up this new hobby together with Andrew, half a world apart.
Extremely passionate and personable
A fantastic advocate and ambassador for the industry
Always ready with a great idea
