📚 The Story of Airschool

The Airschool story started in 2018 when Fatima Rizwan, CEO and Founder, was running TechJuice and covering startups, creators, and technology. She noted that digital creators have unique knowledge, skillset, and following but are not able to generate meaningful revenues. She was facing the same issue at her media company — how to directly monetize following & readers rather than relying on ads, endorsements, sponsored content.

She conducted an online class with an influencer and made sizeable revenue. This was an aha moment for her. She learned that creators are also knowledge entrepreneurs. They are their own unique product and can sell and scale that online. This is how Airschool's idea was incepted!

In 2020, Fatima participated in Entrepreneur First, and launched the initial version of Airschool, then called Plutwo. As the product grew and matured, it was renamed Airschool.

We started Airschool on two simple yet radical principles: First, that each of us is an expert at something; and second, that our expertise is worth sharing and has real value to someone else.

Our ideal expert is someone who has subject matter expertise, an engaged audience but want to increase revenues. Airschool provides these experts with tools to become knowledge entrepreneurs. Right now, experts can create, and sell live and recorded courses on Airschool.

With the rise of social media, individuals are looking for sustainability through ways that give them creative freedom, individuality, and independence. Airschool sees individuality as a feature and allows them to become knowledge entrepreneurs through its course creation tools.
