"Created by procrastinators, for procrastinators 😅"

MyFocusSpace was born during the lockdown and out of a personal need to focus on getting things done. Here's our story:

Last year hit us hard, as the covid-19 pandemic forced us to stay indoors 24/7. At first, we enjoyed the extra time we got due to not having to commute for at least 1 hour a day, and for a little while, we felt more productive on our daily tasks. But that began to drop suddenly after a couple of weeks.

🏠 Home as we used to know it, became our office. Somehow we started to work longer hours, not because we had more work to do, but mostly because we found ourselves doing all sorts of other things while working. (not efficient, I know) Not to mention we started to miss interacting with other people.

That brought up the questions: Were we the only ones with these kinds of problems? It turned out:

🌅 Some of us were unable to start working in the morning as they used to do back in the days when they had to commute. They were procrastinating with their tasks until late in the day, being unable to fully disconnect from work and relax.

📱Others felt they had a hard time working on longer tasks and developed some bad habits of distracting themselves with news, social media, video platform, etc.

😱 Some started to feel very lonely after a few weeks of working only from home. Even those who were used to remote work. They all wanted to connect or meet/see new people.

⏳ Others realized how more productive they could be when working from home and simply wanted to become even more effective with their time and focus.

We created MyFocusSpace to give you the flexibility you need. You can either start your day by doing sessions with a peer to get in the flow or keep pushing yourself at the end of the day and have some solo sessions in the middle. It is up to you how you plan and use it.

MyFocusSpace is currently in public alpha. This means we invite you to join our journey and would love to hear your feedback along the way.
