Traxa.io is a global DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) for intermodal shipping container tracking using "non-art" utility NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) to store geolocation data on the blockchain. This is accomplished by crowd sourcing and rewarding those for "minting" intermodal container NFTs onto the blockchain to help secure the world's international intermodal trade.

Our goal: Build a community around securing the world's intermodal shipping containers through non-art utility NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens).
Funded by Arweave, Traxa's non-art utility NFTs contain geographical and meta data about each intermodal container captured. Each utility NFT created and stored on the blockchain can be used to track intermodal and shipping containers anywhere around the world. Traxa is supported and driven by the same community members who work with technology in the world's global supply chain.
In collaboration with Arweave's (www.arweave.org) Profit Sharing Tokens (PSTs) mechanism, Traxa is owned by you - the community. With the creation of Decentralized Finance (DeFi) comes Traxa as a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization). It takes a lot of people and a community to form a DAO - from defining the right blockchain to getting the world using the app, this is a project that we are design to reward everyone who participates using Profit Sharing Tokens (PSTs).

Our community discovered there was no universal way to track intermodal shipping containers across the world's global intermodal shipping container supply chain. Using optical character recognition (OCR) technology developed over the years, Traxa was built as a platform to capture intermodal containers, their IDs and their geo location (GPS) as simply as taking a picture with a smart phone. Traxa was formed to provide a community owned global distributed enterprise ledger to enable all participants in the intermodal supply chain to participate in tracking intermodal shipping containers, while being rewarded for participating.

The global supply chain is firewalled by large corporations. Access to where goods are especially in the intermodal industry is often tedious and extremely inefficient. Our MVP (Minimum Viable Product) has already been built and currently being demoed at https://mvp.traxa.io. We would like to facilitate a global blockchain of this logistics and supply chain data.
