A Little About Me:
Hi! I’m Rosie (as you can probably guess from my brand name). Before I turned making ceramics into a full-time thing, I was a primary school teacher — a role I really valued, but one I quietly felt ready to move on from. Just before lockdown, I left with plans to go travelling. When that didn’t happen, I found myself staying put and figuring things out as I went. Slowly, it turned into what I do now.
I’ve always loved making things. As a child, I was constantly painting, sewing, creating — it was where I felt most confident. Being dyslexic, I often found other areas more difficult, but making things always felt natural to me.
All of my pieces are made by hand using slab-building techniques. It’s a slow process, and one that doesn’t always go to plan. Things crack. Pieces don’t come out of the kiln how I imagined. But trial and error is part of the process, and I try to embrace it.
