These are a few things I like to do outside work!
I got into powerlifting/gymming seriously when my boyfriend started making programs for me at the end of 2021. I really love it as it’s a great way to push myself physically and I like competing against myself (🙊) to put on that extra 2.5kg, or go for that extra rep, each week.
Current PBs!
I hit my EOY goal of 300kg total which has been super fulfilling!
I started Lyra in 2022 as a way to stretch out all the stiffness from powerlifting… and turns out it’s super fun, I’m just not very flexible hahaha. But it’s great to get up in the Lyra or hammock and just spin around - it also forces you to be super mindful while focusing on the sport, otherwise you’re tumbling down from the top of the hoop..!
Goal: do the splits by the end of the year!
I love trying out new art classes with friends, and try to do a new class each quarter. Recent ones have included: risograph printing, ceramics, mirror painting!
At home, I like playing around with watercolour, gouache, and animation styles. I’m obsessed with good stationery, so you’ll also find me buying lots of pens and tools and then not doing very much with it…

Everyone’s favourite hobby! Recently I was able to brush off my Japanese in a recent trip to Japan during cherry blossom season. Cherry blossom season lives up to the hype - it was absolutely stunning to walk through the streets with the leaves falling, almost in slow-mo.
Next trip… Norway? Or Japan again - I love the country so much and I’ve never been in winter!

Meet Roy, our 1.5 year old corgi who runs our household. He’s the light of our life - he is sass and energy level 100, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. He has elbow dysplasia, so that’s a lot to consider when taking care of him, but I love him & his quirks to bit - he eats and has a better life than we do 😂
