I'm an individual contributor focused on JavaScript, React, React Native, and Node over the last years. The developer experience and developer happiness are really important to me.

The people and the place I'm looking to work is a place for Humans, where mistakes are solved and the knowledge of the solution is shared across the team via Code Reviews, a place where we have time to test our code and that time is valuable for the leaders and owners, a team that cares as much for UX as for developer experience, accessibility, and data.

You should hire me because I have experience working professionally in the 3 main areas of development Frontend, Backend, and Mobile. I want to be a true Full Stack Unicorn that develops all the aspects of a project, I'll always want to do my best for you. I believe in my skills that being said if you let room for making mistakes and learn from them fast like Machine learning/AI iterations we will agree on a lot of scenarios. My frontend skills are up to date I like working with React Hooks but I'm not afraid of class components, I have done many projects in React, React Native with Redux but also I'm able to understand that server cache with React Query may be a better fit for newer projects, as React Query allows us to do Long polling/Reactive approach for many scenarios. In my early days, I started with the backend at college and I worked a lot doing ER models, working with UML, use cases, working with SQL and NoSQL.

Past I'm a Senior University Technician in Computer Science who graduated in 2009, where I give my first steps as a Software Engineer / Developer on Relational DBs and SQL, procedural programming, POO, UML, system design, networking, and web development.

In between I decided to continue my journey through Software Engineering so I enrolled at UCLA (Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado) in Venezuela, where I reinforced my knowledge on POO, MVC, UML and System design, relational and no relational DBs(SQL vs NoSQL), and develop some projects with Java, JavaScript Node/Express, React Native, Redux.

In 2016 started to work for companies professionally, most of these companies were in Staff Augmentation, consultancy and some other have their own product/brand.

Present In 2018 I decided to move to Perú, thanks to a friend I was able to start working immediately for Solera Mobile where I collaborate on projects for Tuenti, Movistar, Dinners. Then I decided to return to Bits Kingdom where I had the opportunities to collaborate in StartUY, MamaLingua, Clickky, and other projects.

The business I've collaborated with. While being in staff augmentation and consultancy, I had the opportunity to collaborate in several business sectors like telecommunications, travel, and booking, education for kids to learn Spanish and personal finances.

Failures that become a learning experience. Of course a lot of them, the most recent was Drivvo (An Uber like app) while working in Bits kingdom, the idea was to develop the Client and Driver Apps for Android/iOS with React Native using the same codebase if I were asked to redo this project, I will have different code base that share components, split the client to have its own Android and iOS folder, and Driver app with its own Android and iOS folders, and share components, hooks, between them. Something that becomes easier in RN was building, testing and debugging, there is a big difference between RN 0.59 and 0.60+. The second project on Bits Kingdom I collaborate was Clinkky and the developer experience started to feel more fluid.

Strengths

I am honest, dedicated, flexible, I like be aware of the people, taking initiatives and to focus on the tasks I am doing. I also spend great time in continuous learning via Udemy, youtube and other platforms.
