1. Layer 1: Physical/Link

• [ ] Are interfaces up?

  • If down, check cable/connection in CML.

  

2. Layer 2: Interface Naming and Security

• [ ] Did you assign nameif to all interfaces?
• [ ] Are security levels correct?

3. Layer 3: IP Addressing and Routing

• [ ] Are IP addresses/subnets correct?
• [ ] Can you ping next-hop devices?
• [ ] Is the routing table correct?

4. Access Control

• [ ] Are ACLs applied to the correct interface?
• [ ] Are the rules allowing necessary traffic?
