Hello! I'm Penelope Morout, an interdisciplinary dance artist based in Greece. Intrigued in creating hybrid projects by fusing performing and visual art mediums, I thrive on exploring and mastering new skills and am passionate about art as a means of making sense to this extraordinarily inconceivable world we live in. This is one of the reasons I founded Cross iMPact Company: I deeply believe that artistic innovation can be found in the meeting points between diverse art forms and techniques and that art is capable of producing a fundamental impact, in both the individual and the community.

I am a Greek interdisciplinary dance artist — a multipotentialite, risk-taker, and dreamer. Holding two Bachelor’s degrees, from the National School of Dance (GR) and the School of Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens, as well as a Master’s in Theatre Practices from ArtEZ University of the Arts (NL), my work spans multiple forms: from creating multidisciplinary dance performances and teaching, to designing sets, crafting surreal self-comic narratives, and producing mixed-media animation films.
Practice-based research and philosophy are central to my long-term creative process. My artistic identity is rooted in the way I integrate, within each final work, the diverse artistic products that emerge throughout creation. I am particularly interested in exploring live performance through — and across — a cinematographic lens. I find deep purpose in exchanging and sharing experiences with participants from all walks of life.
Whether creating or teaching, my ideal working space is one that nurtures a caring, judgment-free community — a space where individuality is embraced, and each member feels encouraged to discover and weave their own artistic voice.
I strive to continuously cultivate curiosity, playfulness, and generosity — and to embody, through my presence in the world, the belief that every story matters. Our stories nourish our relationships with others and deepen our connection with ourselves.
