Conference bigger and more complex than expected with more people being interested in joining that in previous conferences. Already looking to be at capacity, especially for the plenary sessions and the film showing. Julia and Max done incredible work in bringing it together and Nina is going to be busy with it for some time now too.
A lot of writing ongoing with the histories book. We know there have been some delays for writing in some cases because of other emerging priorities. Deadline for having a writing plan in place by next Monday (9th). We’ll need to think about dropping anything that isn’t substantially underway by 30th of this month. AB - just a note about how one of the chapters with Simon Popple may not be able to have a plan for the 9th, but a few days later.
Social machine book is looking for a mid-Jan deadline, whereby writing will happen after the emergent histories book. There are dependencies from the emergent histories book too, so it would be good to pay some thought to knowing where we’ll need input and waiting on that. 3. First round of user testing has happened and it was positive. People spending between 2 and 7 minutes using the interactives. Tasha has been working on a technical strand to how we do the work that has helped these stories come to life etc. 4. Work is progressing and AMS has been chasing people. Reminders might be helpful. 16th Sept investigation meeting is planned for GitHub pages. Data Registry group edit session was successful, so minds are turning towards that. 5. AOB 1. Budget - ongoing work, but it is complex and needs to be right. Tim and Tejala almost there on getting it completed. 2. Final All-project TaNC meeting - 11 Sept. All PIs being asked to give a summary about the TaNC conference and it will also act as a bit of a summing up session where Rebecca will talk to the future of TaNC and the recommendations. 3.
