1. Problem Statement
In today’s digital learning environment, students heavily rely on online tools to study. While numerous productivity and Pomodoro applications exist, most of them fail to address the core issue: lack of real focus.
Key Problems Identified:
- Fake Productivity
- Users can start a Pomodoro timer and freely switch tabs, scroll social media, or leave the study session.
- Time is tracked, but attention is not.
- No Accountability
- Existing tools do not penalize distractions.
- There is no behavioral consequence for breaking focus.
- Fragmented Learning Tools
- Students use separate apps for:
- Doubt solving
- Note summarization
- Focus tracking
- This increases context switching and cognitive load.
- Low Motivation & Consistency
- No meaningful rewards for discipline.
- No system that values quality of focus over quantity of time.
Real-World Impact:
This results in:
- Poor learning efficiency
- Reduced concentration span
- Burnout and frustration
- Misleading sense of productivity
